THE COMPASS CHANGEMAKER CHALLENGE

Today, more than ever before in our history, we are facing complex global challenges that can appear overwhelming and out of our capacity to affect meaningful change. Yet, many educators and students are doing important work to incorporate skills of systems thinking for sustainability into their curriculums providing students with the necessary tools for better understanding complex and interconnected global challenges, finding agency and proposing solutions. The intention of this competition is to give voice to aspiring student changemakers to showcase their thinking, highlight their agency and promote continued promotion of these important skills.

The CHALLENGE is intended to encourage educators and students to provide inspirational videos of their use of the Compass Tools to better understand global challenges and find leverage points of agency towards change. The CHALLENGE offers educators and students the opportunity to showcase the work that they are doing and provide Compass Education with clear demonstrations of the impact of their important work.

To participate in the CHALLENGE, educators will serve as mentors of the student participants and will be responsible for their submissions. Educators will also be invited to participate independently to showcase their classroom process and experience. All the video testimonials selected will be used by Compass Education to promote this work among schools, educators and donors.
