How will we reach ONE MILLION?
How do we measure success?
We track the schools where are educators teach and try to continue to track as they move to different locations, although this can be very difficult due to the nomadic nature of international educators.
The number reflected here is the actual number of schools where we have worked or are educators currently work.
This is a measurement of the countries where we have delivered trainings and the countries where facilitators live who have taken our online courses.
We want the Sustainability Compass to reach every corner of the globe!
This is a measurement of the educators that we have formally trained in the use of the Sustainability Compass and Compass tools.
We are currently designing a format to track not only those that have become certified educators, but all educators who have been introduced to the tool and use it in their work.
This is a measurement of the number of students that our educators have directly reached with the tools as reported by them in surveys and impact reports.
We are working to better understand and track this number as our educators work year after year with students.
This is just an exciting reminder that we are a global network of certified facilitators that are dedicated to supporting you in your use of the Sustainability Compass and Systems Thinking tools.
Twenty Five and growing… it will take a lot of us to reach One Million educators and we are excited for you to join us!
Better Data for Better Outcomes
Compass Education is committed to using the most recent research in lean data practices in order to measure our impact in the world.
We know that the Sustainability Compass has disseminated throughout the world by our educators who learn and share the tool. In the last ten years we have only tracked educators that were formally certified in the use of the tool, which is great data but doesn’t nearly account for the large number of informally trained educators that actively use the tool. Formal or informal, using the Sustainability Compass impacts students and school communities and we are working to discover how to better track it.
We are currently developing a specific series of indicators that can be reported on by our educators and looking for simple, innovative ways to capture the information and understand its impact.
