DESCRIPTION:This is a Compass Educator (Level 2) certification course\, designed for educators who have completed the Compass Practitioner (Level 1) course and want to learn more about how to create systems change in their community. \nThis course is a seven-week cohort-based\, (mostly) asynchronous\, facilitator-guided course\, using both independent and collaborative learning methods. In this course\, participants explore the challenges and means of integrating sustainability values\, principles and practice into education. Special emphasis is placed on the use of systems thinking tools to bring about change and enhance teaching and learning. This workshop will be led by our facilitators\, Nicole Swedlow and Tom McLean. \n  \nAbout the Workshop \nThis flexible\, three-part program enables schools to efficiently and effectively introduce educators\, administrators and support staff to the fundamentals of sustainability and systems thinking.
